Day 13 Animal Print(31DC)

I did animal print today and the sad thing is, no matter how hard I tried either the colors wouldn't stamp right or other nonsense would happen.  It was very frustrating so this is how my nails turned out.

They aren't what I wanted but after redoing them four times, this is just how they ended up.  I did two coats of Essie's She's Picture Perfect and I stamped with Sally Hansen Co-Bolt Blue.  I wish they weren't so smeary but I've been trying out new top coats and some just aren't good for stamping nails.

Day 12 Stripes(31DC)

Today is stripes.  I freehanded these stripes so they may be a bit crazy and I also picked super wacky colors so bear with me here.

Tomorrow is Animal Print and hopefully my idea for these will work, it's so hard for me to find good stamping colors.

Polishes Used:
Urban Outfitters Slime
Lime Crime Peaches<3 Cream
China Glaze Surfin' for the Boys
China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard

Day 11 Dots(31DC)

Today is dots!  With this manicure I was going for a simple manicure and I like how this one turned out.  In fact when I finished I was like this looks alot like Dippin' Dots.

Anyway this was super simple to do I did three coats of Sally Hansen(smooth perfect) Satin.  Then I just layered on the dots in varying sizes.  For all you out there who don't have dotting tools, I know I have said this before but I don't have them and I use two sizes of bobby pins and the back of a paint brush for all my sizes.  It work's sooo good so if you're ever in a pinch (or cheap like me) this works.

Polishes Used:
Sally Hansen's Satin
Wet N Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint
Julep Reese
Revlon First Class

Day 10 Gradient (31DC)

Today we have Gradient nails.  They were pretty easy for me to do and I think they have come out the best of all my gradient nails I have done.

Lots of people do a base color when they do this technique, but for myself I don't.  My reasoning behind this is if you're doing a dark color over a powerful light color -- for example blue to yellow, and you're dark is thin, then it turns into a whole different color(green in that situation) sometimes.  So, the way I do it, is just put my clear base coat and do 3-4 layers of the graident it comes out pretty thick and smooth looking.

Polishes Used:
Essie Sure Shot
Julep Niecy
A England Avalon
Also, as you guys may have noticed, today is the TENTH DAY!  Yay I made it that far with only a few flubs.  So here is a compilation of everything up to today.

Thanks to everyone who has been reading my blog and all my new followers y'all are awesome!

Day 9 Rainbow(31DC)

Hey Guys!  Today is Rainbow and this manicure was fun to do because I've never done a "spun sugar" manicure before.  It may not look EXACTLY like spun sugar but I love it and I used a ridiculous amount of polishes so be prepared for the list.

My skin is way dry in these pictures so excuse it.  If you've never heard of or done the spun sugar manicure before basically what you do is pick you polish and put about four dollops on your mat or where ever you put your paint.  Then you get a toothpick and kinda wait a bit, then swirl it around until the polish gets nice and stringy.  Then you can drag it over the nail.

Anyway here's the list of polishes.

China Glaze: In the Lime Light, Sun-Kissed, Sun Worshipper, Surfin' for the Boys, Gaga for Green, Ride the Waves
Icing: Little Blue Box
A England: Order of the Garter, Avalon
Color Show: Sweet Clementine
L'Oreal: Tweet Me
Essie: Sure Shot
Spoliled: Checkin' into Rehab
Julep: Catherine
Sally Hansen: Blue me Away
Urban Outfitters: Slime

See you guys tomorrow for Gradient nails FUN FUN!

Day 8 Metallic

Today is metallic nails and I'm actually doing this update from my iPhone so we'll see how this goes.

With these nails I used China Glaze Under the Boardwalk as my base; it was two coats. I stamped BM - 224 on all my nails except the middle which is BM-201. I used Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and achieved exactly the look I wanted.

I think my stamping skills are getting pretty awesome and it might be time to buy some more plates! Tomorrows rainbow and I can't wait, see y'all then.

Day 7 Black and White(31 Day Nail Challenge)

So I'm such a loser.  I had my post and pictures all ready yesterday and then when I got home from a late night out I jumped into bed and went to sleep.  So this is a tad late :(

Excuse the smear Julep Fast Dry Top Coat smears stamps.

Today I did Black and White stamping.  I did two coats of white(Sally Hansen's White Out) on each nail then I stamped over them with Bm-201 Black Creme from Wet N Wild.  Then I did two coats of black on my middle finger.  It came out really pretty and I think these nails could be worn for a formal function.

Anyway hopefully this afternoon I won't be lazy and I'll post my metallic nails.
